COURSE INFORMATION

The annual Cornea, Contact Lens and Contemporary Vision Care Symposium (CCLS) is a long-running, and always popular, program featuring world-renowned experts. Through a combination of clinical science and clinical pearls, practitioners have the opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in contact lenses, anterior segment disease, therapeutic treatment options and surgical management of the cornea.

REGISTRATION NOTE:  PARTICIPANTS WISHING TO REGISTER AFTER 12:00PM ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 28TH, WILL BE CONSIDERED A WALK-IN REGISTRATION AND WILL NEED TO BE HANDLED ONSITE THE DAY OF THE EVENT. AN ADDITIONAL $10 WILL BE APPLIED TO EACH 8 HOUR REGISTRATION.

SPEAKER INFORMATION

 

Jan PG Bergmanson, OD, PhD, PhD h.c., DSc, CourseMaster 

Dr. Bergmanson is the Brien A. Holden Professor of Optometry at University of Houston College of Optometry, founding Director of the Texas Eye Research and Technology Center, is licensed in Texas as a Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. He is a Fellow of American Academy of Optometry (AAO), where he is a Diplomate in the Cornea, Contact Lens and Refractive Technologies Section and a Fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society. He is a Lifetime Honorary Member of the Swedish and Dutch Optometric Associations, Life Fellow of the College of Optometry, United Kingdom. Awards received include British Contact Lens Association’s Gold Medal (1998), 2002 Texas Optometric Association’s Educator of the Year Award, AAO Max Schapero Lecture Award (2006), 2014 American Optometric Association Legend Award, IACLE America’s Contact Lens Educator of the Year Award (2017) and in 2017 Joseph Dallos Award presented by Contact Lens Manufacturers Association. Scholarship encompasses 150 clinical and scientific publications, 8 chapters in texts and one book, now in its 24th edition.
