Beginning January 1, 2023, all active Texas Licensees must provide proof of successful completion of a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for initial licensure renewal of a license each renewal cycle.

- This requirement begins in 2023 for initial licensure or license renewal.
- Licensees can earn up to 2 General Hours for a CPR course, and 4 General Hours for a BLS course.
- This can count towards the 32 hour requirement.
