UHCO Returns to the Rockies
Now established as the official site for UHCO Alumni Reunions, the CE in the Rockies Program is held annually in Estes Park Colorado, the eastern gateway community to Rocky Mountain National Park. The four-day program offers four COPE approved continuing education hours each morning (for a total of 16 hours) leaving afternoons free for leisure activities with family and friends. This year’s speakers, Mile Brujic, OD, Bruce Onofrey, RPh, OD, FAAO, FOGS, Leo Semes, OD, FAAO & Danica Marrelli, OD, FAAO, CourseMaster, will present lectures on effective glaucoma therapies, retina mysteries revealed, interpreting the OCT, challenging anterior segment cases, dry eye management, ocular infection and pharmaceutical ocular side-effects.
Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest surround the town of Estes Park with spectacular mountain scenery, abundant wildlife habitat, miles of hiking trails and scenic drives including Trail Ridge Road over the Continental Divide and the Peak-to-Peak Scenic Byway. This program is not exclusive to UHCO alumni and all participants become “honorary Coogs” while in attendance!

UHCO and GPLI team up to host Building Your Specialty Lens Practice
On July 21st, the University of Houston College of Optometry (UHCO) and the GP Lens Institute (GPLI) will present Building Your Specialty Lens Practice. This multi-track program will highlight the newest specialty lenses on the market and include a sclera GP lens workshop.
