Texas Optometry Educators Present CE in the Southwest

on March 24th & 25th

2012 Texas Optometric Glaucoma Specialist Course

ON-LINE this FEBRUARY!

The three requirements to be licensed as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist include:

  • Required Reading:  American Academy of Ophthalmology’s “Basic and Clinical Science Course, Section 10: Glaucoma”
  • Completion of a 30-hour course including passing a Comprehensive Exam with a grade of 75% or better
  • Completion of a Skills Check-Off List with an ophthalmologist or optometric glaucoma specialist

Course Guidelines

  • The on-line course will afford participants 45 days to view all of the lectures.  Upon verified completion of the coursework, participants will then take the comprehensive exam with an authorized proctor.
  • The required reading and the Skills Check-Off List are items exclusive of the on-line coursework and must be completed by the participant to satisfy board requirements.
The $895 fee includes:
  • 30 VIRTUAL CLASSROOM HOURS PLUS THE 2012 PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY COURSE FOR TEXAS OPTOMETRISTST
  • ABILITY TO CONTACT SPEAKERS WITH QUESTIONS VIA EMAIL/MESSAGE BOARD
  • COURSE BOOKLET for lectures featured in the course
  • COMPREHENSIVE EXAM MATERIALS to be completed with authorized proctor
  • Wall Certificate and LETTER OF COMPLETION to be submitted to the Texas Optometry Board with the Application for Glaucoma Specialist 

PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER BY FEBRUARY 22nd TO BEGIN AND COMPLETE THE COURSE BY APRIL 6th.
