Continuing Education

The American Academy of Optometry hosted Academy 2024 Indianapolis on November 6-9, 2024 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Continuing Education with Examinations (CEE) are now available online for purchase and completion through June 2, 2025.

General Exam Information

  • Purchase and complete the exam(s) with a score of 70% or above.
  • UHCO will report exam completion to AAO on a weekly basis.
  • AAO will report exam completion directly to Florida CE Broker.

Instructions

  1. Click “Register for an Exam” 
  2. Complete the required fields, select desired exams, select your payment type, and click “Submit Registration. 
  3. Enter your payment information.  
    • Address must be the billing address connected to the payment method. 
  4. Enter the security captcha letters. 
  5. Click “Pay Now.” 
  6. Click “Finish Enrollment.” 

  1. You will receive an email that contains your receipt, as well as the link to access your purchased course. To access the course:
    • In the email, select “Click Here to access your Academy 2023 exam(s).”
    • On the “My Courses & Exams” tab, select “Academy Exams.”
  2. Enter your information in the “User Details” and “Mailing Address” blanks on the right sidebar.
    • This information will populate your Completion Letter.
    • If licensed in Florida, select Florida and enter your license number. If this information is not present, AAO will not know your exam completion should be reported to Florida CE Broker.
  3. Click the course title(s) to complete the exam(s).
    • Answer all questions in the exam.
    • A passing score is 70% or above.If you do not pass, you may retake the exam.
  4. The CE Team will verify your completion within the next business day.
    • You will receive your letter of completion via email after verification.
    • You may also download your letter from the “My Courses & Exams” page after verification.
  5. UHCO will report your exam completion to AAO on a weekly basis.
  6. AAO will report exam completion directly to Florida CE Broker.
